Conectarse a Internet con el modem-usb de Vodafone
Voy a explicar como lo hice yo, es sencillo y se hace con pocos pasos. Si no funciona mirad otros manuales en otras paginas pero en un principio os deberia funcionar.
1º: Creamos el archivo «huawei220» en /etc/modprobe.d. Abrimos un terminal (Aplicaciones/accesorios/terminal) y escribimos:
sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/huawei220
Te pedira la contraseña que tienes en Ubuntu. Tras ponerla se abrira un archivo de texto, escribimos lo siguiente dentro y guardamos:
#Huawei E220
alias huawei usbserial
options huawei vendor=0x12d1 product=0x1003
2º: Al conectar el modem lo detectara como un cd (si no saltate este paso). Para desmontarlo escribe:
sudo umount /media/cdrom-1
3º: Saca los usb que tengas (boton derecho y «desmontar el volumen») si tienes alguno, y despues escribe:
sudo rmmod usb_storage
4º: Escribe lo siguiente (este paso es para configurar el modem con el archivo que creamos antes):
sudo modprobe huawei220
5º: Ahora edita el fichero /etc/wvdial.conf. Para ello:
sudo gedit /etc/wvdial.conf Escribe en el lo siguiente:
[Dialer Defaults]
Phone = *99***1#
Username = vodafone
Password = vodafone
Stupid Mode = 1
Dial Command = ATDT
[Dialer reset]
Modem = /dev/ttyUSB0
Init1 = AT
[Dialer pin]
Modem = /dev/ttyUSB0
Init1 = AT+CPIN=XXXX <<<<Aqui debeis escribir vuestro PIN
[Dialer vodafone]
Phone = *99***1#
Modem = /dev/ttyUSB0
Baud = 460800
Init2 = ATZ
Init3 = ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0
ISDN = 0
Modem Type = Analog Modem
Init5 =AT+CGDCONT=1,»IP»,»ac.vodafone.es»
6º: Escribis lo siguiente y poneis vuestro PIN, despues pulsais Intro:
sudo wvdial pin
*Re-Editado 7º: Creamos un lanzador nuevo en el menu Internet. Para ello vamos a Sistema/Preferencias/Menu Principal alli elegimos Internet/+Elemento nuevo le damos un nombre(Conectar , por ejemplo) e introducimos wvdial vodafone como comando, aceptamos y cerramos
Y voilá ya teneis Intenet con vuestro modem. Para conectaros unicamente vais a Aplicaciones/Internet/Conectar(o como se llame) y lo ejecutais. (Si con el lanzador no funciona conectaros desde el terminal para ello escribid: sudo wvdial vodafone cada vez que os querais conectar)
Muchas gracias a NeoDaVe que me ha dado la idea para crear el lanzador. Ubuntu es lo que tiene que siempre hay gente que sabe mas que tu y te puede ayudar.

Editado. Muchas gracias, no me habia dado por pensar como automatizar la ejecucion. Pero una cosa, si haces lo que tu dices te aparece un terminal igualmente no?
No te aparece un terminal, lo que no se si bastará con hacer lo que tu dices o tendrás que usar gksudo delante, en vez de sudo.
Ya que no he usado esta aplicación no se la manera de usarlo. 😀
a mi me da error al ejecutar la linea «sudo rmmod usb_storage», me dice «ERROR: Module usb_storage does not exist in /proc/modules» ¿que hago?
De donde has sacado la opción «Init3 = ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0»?
Tengo un Huawei E272 y necesito averiguar qué parametros tengo que utilizar.
